Why many courses fail the practice test

💸
Traditional seminars are expensive

On-site training quickly costs €1,500 to €3,000 — plus travel time, hotel, and production downtime. For many specialists and SMEs, simply not viable.

📚
Online courses stay abstract

Most platform courses use generic examples. The result: statistics understood, practical transfer missing. On the job, you still can't move forward.

📅
Fixed dates rarely fit

Multi-day block sessions collide with project and shift schedules. People who would have to sacrifice vacation or parental leave to qualify usually stay where they are.

The eYellow Belt solves all three problems: practice-proven curriculum from 19 years of consulting and more than 100 live Yellow Belt trainings — now as a compact, self-paced online course for € 499, starting whenever it suits you.

What guides you through all 5 DMAIC phases

Each phase includes teaching videos, an interactive Phase Book with exercises, and an automatic knowledge test. The complete real-world case study runs from Define through Control.

🎯
Phase 1 – Define
Formulating the problem clearly

Project Charter, Voice of the Customer, SIPOC diagram, problem definition. You learn how to set up an improvement project cleanly — before analyzing a single number.

📏
Phase 2 – Measure
Collecting data and understanding the baseline

Data collection, measurement system analysis, process metrics, process capability (Cp, Cpk). Afterwards, you know how to evaluate processes objectively — not just by gut feeling.

🔍
Phase 3 – Analyze
Finding root causes instead of fighting symptoms

Cause-and-effect analysis (Ishikawa), Pareto chart, hypothesis tests, correlation. The heart of DMAIC: what's really behind the problem?

⚙️
Phase 4 – Improve
Developing and testing solutions

Brainstorming methods, solution evaluation, piloting, DOE basics. How to pick the best solution from many ideas and implement it effectively.

🔒
Phase 5 – Control
Sustaining improvements long-term

Control plan, control charts, Standard Operating Procedures, handover to the process owner. So success doesn't disappear after three months.

Right for you, if …

🏭
Specialist in production & quality

You work in manufacturing, quality assurance, or maintenance and want to tackle improvement projects in a structured way — with methodology instead of gut feeling.

📊
Process engineer & Lean lead

You have already worked with Lean or continuous improvement, but want to understand the statistical side — and finally use Six Sigma as a complete toolkit.

🎓
Career starter & student

You want to strengthen your CV with a relevant certificate and stand out from other applicants — practical, not just theoretical.

🏢
Manager & project lead

You want to understand what your team is doing when running DMAIC projects — and contribute substantively in status meetings and reviews.

🗂️
Employee in administration & services

Six Sigma doesn't only work on the production line: whether case handling, service, customer support, or internal processes — the methodology helps here too, structuring workflows, reducing variation, and uncovering improvement potential based on facts.

Not suitable if: you're looking for a live-guided training with personal feedback and a tutor, or if you're already a Yellow Belt and want to jump straight to Green Belt.

Why I know what I teach: More than 100 participants have already completed this specific Yellow Belt curriculum in live trainings — as part of a total of 2,000+ Six Sigma qualifications since 2007. Every method, every example has been tested in real projects — not born in a textbook.

Your questions — answered directly

Who is this course for — do I need any prior knowledge? +
No — the eYellow Belt is designed for beginners. You don't need any statistics knowledge or prior Six Sigma background. It helps if you already work or have worked in a company, since the examples are very practical.
What sets this course apart from other Yellow Belt courses? +
The curriculum comes directly from live trainings that Markus Pralle has run for years for specialists in industry and enterprises. The focus is on a continuous real-world case study with actual data — not on abstract examples. You learn how DMAIC works in practice, not just in theory.
How long do I have access to the course? +
12 months from enrollment. That's enough to work through the course multiple times, use the materials as a reference, or finish the certificate after a longer break.
What if I don't pass the final exam? +
The exam can be retaken once free of charge — so you have a total of two attempts to reach the minimum score of 70 %. The certificate is issued automatically as soon as you reach that score. If you narrowly fail the second attempt as well, please reach out — we'll find a solution.
Is the certificate officially recognized? +
The certificate is issued by the Q+C eAcademy and confirms successful completion of the course. It corresponds to the industry-standard Yellow Belt qualification and is recognized in practice — particularly in manufacturing and quality — as proof of competence. It is not a state-accredited educational qualification.
Can I bill the course through my employer? +
Yes — we issue a proper invoice for your accounting or employer on request. If your company wants to qualify multiple employees, please enquire about volume licenses at info@esixsigma.de.
