Each of the five DMAIC phases follows the same competence ladder. You only move on once the level below is secure – that is how competence replaces half-knowledge.

Frequently asked questions about the Six Sigma Green Belt online

What does the Six Sigma Green Belt online cost? +
The qualification costs a one-time fee of € 1,490 plus VAT where applicable – including AI learning companions, the statistics software Numiqo, the theory exam with one retake, the assessment of your project documentation and the defence. There is no subscription and there are no hidden exam fees. For comparison: live-online and classroom Green Belts typically cost between € 2,750 and € 5,330 net, often plus exam or certification fees.
Is the course fully available in English? +
Yes. Theory handouts, exercises, case studies, the AI coaches, the theory exam and the defence are all available in English. The content and the certificate are identical to the German eGreenBelt. After your purchase, simply confirm that you would like the English version (see the enrolment page) and we will enrol you in the English course.
Can I do the Green Belt alongside my job? +
Yes – that is what the format is made for. There are no fixed dates except your own defence, which you book online yourself. You learn whenever it fits into your day, on laptop, tablet or smartphone, and your progress is synchronised across devices. Ideally you carry out your improvement project directly in your own work environment.
Do I need prior statistics knowledge or a Yellow Belt? +
No. The eGreenBelt is designed so that you can start without prior statistics knowledge. Every method is first explained, then practised, then applied to the case study. A Yellow Belt is helpful but not a prerequisite.
How much time do I need to plan for? +
Around 70 teaching units of 45 minutes, i.e. about 52 hours, plus your project work. You have one year of access and set the pace yourself – alongside a job, three to six months are realistic.
How does the exam work? +
The final theory exam consists of 100 single-choice questions; the pass mark is 70 %. If you do not pass, you have one free retake with different questions. Then come your improvement project and a 30-minute defence with a Master Black Belt.
What is the difference between the theory confirmation and the Green Belt certificate? +
After passing the theory exam you receive a confirmation of the theory part. The full Green Belt certificate – including your project title – is issued only after you have submitted your project documentation and passed the defence. It is verifiable by QR code and verification code and valid indefinitely.
Is the certificate recognised? +
The certificate is issued by Q+ Consulting, Aachen, Germany. The qualification is aligned with the body of knowledge of the ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt and is in line with ISO 18404:2015 and ISO 13053-1:2011. It is not an ASQ accreditation and not a state-recognised degree.
What software do I need? +
Only an up-to-date browser. The statistics software Numiqo is included for the duration of the qualification. Your progress is synchronised across devices – you can start on your laptop and continue on your tablet.
What if I don’t have a suitable project in my company? +
Most Green Belt projects fail at the choice of topic, not at the method. Talk to us before you start – we will help you find a topic that is big enough to make a difference and small enough to complete. Write to mrsixx@esixsigma.de.
